Simple monsoon hair care tips from Rimyrah

“Gorgeous hair is the best revenge”

As the monsoon arrives, there is a certain amount of freshness in the climatic condition. We got the much-needed break from the scorching heat of the sun but it has got its fair share of cons too. Besides the guttery road and the seasonal flu, the humidity tends to damage the hairs and the scalps too. As the humidity increases on the scale, the hair starts getting moist. Due to this moisture, the scalp remains wet for most of the time and even after a shower, it takes a relatively longer duration of time for drying. The main cause of all the monsoon hair blues is the moisture and humidity.
Some of the basic hair problems that women get in the monsoon include bad odor due to dampness, dandruff which leads to itchy scalp, unmanageable, frizzy hair and sometimes even fungal infection. So it is really important to take care of your hair in the monsoon season. Some of the tips for easy
maintenance of the hair are discussed below:

  • The first and foremost thing you need to do are protecting your hair from getting drenched in the rain water. Unlike the hilly regions where the rain water is in its purest form, rainwater in the city consists of many toxins that can harm your hair. So it is best to avoid it. You may either use an umbrella, cap or even a scarf.

  • In case your hair got drenched in the rain, wash it with a mild shampoo as soon as you reach home. After washing, use a dryer and not a towel because the later takes a longer duration of time in drying.

  • As far as the shampoo is concerned, there is no particular shampoo as the best one for the monsoon. Choose the one that suits your hair but it is always better to go for a milder one.

  • Conditioning of the hair after using shampoo is a must. Conditioner helps in maintaining a good hair. It not only prevents dryness and split ends but also gives a lustrous look.

  • Washing the hair two to three times a week is an ideal practice. If you wash more than three times in a week, then the hair will become dry and frizzy. It is hard to maintain a dry hair.

  • Oiling is one of the best practices for proper hair maintenance. If the overnight application of oil leaves your face oily, then use hot oil. Hot oiling is the best option for people with oily skin as it takes hardly an hour.

  • Do not tie or make a bun with wet hair because it will lead to bad odor of your hair.

  • Hair rebonding and curling during monsoon is not the best idea as it makes the hair weaker.

  • Be careful while choosing the comb. Always choose the one with wider teeth space. Never comb your wet hair as it leads to serious hair fall. Wooden combs are the best.

  • Since maintaining a long hair is difficult in monsoon, it will be better to trim or cut your hair in manageable length from time to time. Trimming will also help in preventing split ends.

  • Besides the above-mentioned hair care tips, a proper diet is also a must. Include vegetables and proteins that will help in nourishing the hair. Fruits are also an essential item.

  • Drinking adequate amount of water and fluids will keep the body hydrated thereby leading to healthy hair too.

Above discussed were some basic tips from Rimyrah.com to maintain a healthy hair in the monsoon season. Hope you find it helpful.
